Don Parker

Don Parker is a Chicago-region writer, editor, and illustrator with extensive experience in the field of conservation. First as editor of Chicago Wilderness magazine, then with the Forest Preserves of Cook County, and now serving a range of clients, Don has worked for two decades to engage people in meaningful long-term relationships with the natural world. He co-founded Habitat 2030, a group connecting volunteers in their 20s and 30s with local habitat restoration efforts. Don has a BA in English Literature with a minor in Environmental Studies from Colgate University.
