Deborah E Wiley
Deborah Wiley lives in New York City and Little Compton, RI. After graduation from Boston University, Deborah joined her family publishing business, John Wiley & Sons. She has retired after forty years with the company, and is currently Chair of The Wiley Foundation. While in the business, she served on several industry boards, including chairing the board of the National Book Foundation, where she currently serves as Treasurer. For many years, Deborah chaired the International Intellectual Anti-Piracy Committee of the Association of American Publishers. Currently, she chairs the board of Southern Vermont College, and recently joined the Advisory Board of UNITE, Unite the World Africa Foundation, which promotes prosperity in Tanzania. Her parents were among the first conservationists in Rhode Island, donating twenty acres to The Nature Conservancy. Deborah has had a long association with and interest in conservation. She travels extensively to learn about global politics and culture.
