Today, many of us are struggling to understand the outcome of an election process that largely ignored climate change and many other environmental issues. It’s all the more important, therefore, to promote a rich understanding and appreciation of nature, access to the best science and practice for fixing the environment, and policy approaches informed by that science and practice.
We at Island Press are determined to move forward and meet that challenge. Our staff, authors, educators, practitioners, and partner organizations are all committed to providing the knowledge and information that can change minds, change practice, and change policy.
The need for action has never been more urgent. What’s more, the need for Island Press’s science-based and non-partisan, ground-tested solutions will be all the more necessary as a new administration comes into office.
Thank you for your past and continued support. Together, we will continue to help build a healthier, more-sustainable world.
