Island Press Diversity Fellowship
Island Press is accepting applications for a 12-month publishing fellowship, intended to serve as a pathway to a successful career in publishing, environmental communications, non-profit management, or related fields. It is aimed at attracting candidates who otherwise would not have access to publishing and to increase the diversity and inclusivity of the industry. The fellow will commit to full-time work in the summer and part-time work (15-20 hours per week) in the fall and spring thereafter. Application Deadline: Monday, April 30, 2018
We generally hire interns for the fall, spring, and summer terms. We look for interns who are interested in learning about the book publishing field or have a specific interest in a particular publishing discipline. Candidates will be matched with the internship that best fits his/her interests and experience; however, you may note your preference. Recruiting will continue until all available positions are filled. Internships are unpaid, volunteer positions and we request 10-20 hours per week of availability.
