Alison Sant is a co-founder and Partner of the Studio for Urban Projects. Extending the role of artists and designers, the Studio for Urban Projects also acts as a convener - converting their studio space in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood to a public venue for the staging of workshops, talks, film screenings, and meals that foster civic dialogue. Ali currently teaches classes at the California College of Art and has also taught at the San Francisco Art Institute and Mills College. She received her BFA from New York University in the Departments of Photography and Interactive Telecommunications and received her Masters in Design at the College of Environmental Design, University of California Berkeley. She is a Board Member and Co-chair of the Sustainable Cities program at the Summit Foundation based in Washington D.C and Board President of the Seed Fund in San Francisco.
