Food Town, USA: Jacksonville

Tuesday, October 15, 2019 - 3:00pm EDT

The food revolution is happening across the United States. Healthy, sustainable fare is changing communities across this country, revitalizing towns that have been ravaged by disappearing industries and decades of inequity.

A case in point is Jacksonville, one of the cities featured in Food Town, USA by Mark Winne. During his visit to this unlikely food town, Winne met leaders who are addressing food insecurity, entrepreneurs of the thriving food scene, and innovative farmers who are transforming food production and distribution.

In Jacksonville and in the other cities he traveled, Winne experienced the power of individuals to transform food and the power of food to transform communities.
